Agnès - Jedi House EP Mp3

Very good release! True Agnès sound and vibes. That's what makes this record perfect for a club warm-up.

This is typical agnes sound, just a nice groove and ambiance with that futuristic touch. Bobba Fatt is very laidback while Silence & Snow is more for dancefloor oriented. I also like the other three tracks/skits or whatever you wanna call them. Maybe Here Maybe Not sounds like a pitched down house track which makes it sounds like some hip hop crunk tune. The interesting thing is you can play it on 33 or 45 rpm it doesn't really matter. Ancient methods is a kick-less track with a bassline, some vocals and a piano. In contrast to the other two short tracks you could use it as a tool in set. Chew Rebellion is the track I liked the most. It is a shame that it runs under 2 minutes. I hope there will be a longer edit like the Streako and B-Squit edit of Pépé Bradocks Demarre Le Chauve.

If you like what Agnes did in the past 3-4 years, chances are high that you will dig this ep too. The tracks show less "90's house" elements as usual and are generally more in the vein of productions like "Calvingrad, Boring City".

Overall this EP is not groundbreaking but a very solid effort from Agnes.

This is Agnès in his prime.. Holy damn shit. Sweaty bouncy phat deep house. One just have to play this on Vinyl.. Or never play it at all. One would expect to hear Silence & Snow on the floor atleast once..
