I first dropped this by the pool in Ibiza - must have been 97, 98 ish. It was like the world stopped still. Everybody around just stopped to listen. Spiritual baby.
Llanonte
winter reprise is just awful. thank god for the original
Karon
agreed...original version's always been pretty great though the winter reprise is nearly unlistenable by comparison

Brilliant tune, so soulfull/deep/warm and raw at the same time!

Ah yes. This record's a really nice vocal house track. I believe that the original song was done by The Carpenters. The Restless Mix is so beautiful that it almost jerks a tear out of your eye. With beautiful vocals by Bratticus & house beats by Abacus, this is a must for all house heads. (^_^ )

It's not. The lyrics originate from the famous 50s song 'When I fall in love', originally by Doris Day though perhaps the best known version is by Nat King Cole.
funike
It's a Stevie Wonder song, not by the Carpenters. The original song that the lyric is taken from is called "I Believe (When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever)". You can find it on Stevie Wonder's "Talking Book" LP.

Think what could have happened when the average producer tried to marry rough, raw production to purely sublime vocalizing........now listen to what took place when the presiding Reverend was Abacus. One of those tracks you don't merely hear...you can't help but actually LISTEN.
