i have these compilations listed below went (and spent) time to track the best i could find still hit and miss with pops, noise and digital glitches and ZYX were great (once) but have become sloppy like every other compiler today' care less and less as years go by most of todays CD's (and a sad fact) are sourced from MP3 and vinyl.i also know from a friend that works in the industry some big record companies do this due to laziness and to get around locating masters if they don't already own them.they will throw anything on CD's today at any quality and mastered worse than a direct rip off a fisher price record deck.best i found are..and i do not think i need to get the ZYX release as it doesn't add anything extra.Fun Fun ‎– The Best Of Fun Fun (Polish pressing Snakes)Fun Fun ‎– The Best Of Fun Fun - Color My Love (Hot productions US 1st pressing)Fun Fun ‎– Double Fun (Japan pressing Cannon)Fun Fun ‎– Have Fun! & More....(Spanish pressing Blanco)there is another on Red Bullet the Netherlands but are mostly edited down. Fun Fun ‎– Greatest Fun - The Best Ofthere is 2 more compilations released in Scandinavian and a Chilie but where theses are sourced from I would not guess...the best version of Give A Little Love Again is on the Spanish CD (Blanco)and the full versions of their main hits is on the Polish CD (Snakes)if anyone knows for sure about the sourced files on the ZYX it would be nice...i am not sure if its worth a purchase...i used to copy Vinyl records direct to tape in the 80's to listen to the vinyl i bought on my ghetto blaster.today its vinyl to MP3 then transcoded and compressed on to CD.some reviews over on Amazon are saying it's stellar and sound's great and the best but it certainly isn't.i think many have been accustomed to tuned MP3's.as for the disc artwork jeez as a collector it's pretty bog standard!

Great selection still missing a lot of tracks, the only problem is the sound quality, about CD1 sounds very good (maybe original master tapes here) except track 12 "hit mix" sounds like mastered from vinyl, about CD2 track01, track02, track07, track09 sounds very good (maybe original master tapes here), track04 sounds like from master tape, but there are high volume issue on this track, finally track03, track05, track06, track08, track10 sounds like mastered from a heavy used vinyl. Hope this help.

"About two tracks below (Disc 2)"2-5 Sing Another Song (Gary Otto Remix) 2-8 Living In Japan (David Phillips Remix) I have already purchased the original U.S. vinyl (TSR 840) and heard it with my player, but I'm concerned about scratch noise. Does ZYX label don't have the original master tape?
Frdi
Can somebody describe the audio quality here? I discover more and more with ZYX records that they are using very poor audio sources for their cd compilations, like vinyl transfers and an overuse of an high EQ for their cd releases.
Gelgen
due to greed, money and the iPod generation!good music from the past... today is becoming lost to "mp3 on the internet"a collector today is a 15 year old with a bunch of music sourced from youtube on his 16GB iPhone
olgasmile
You are right. You never know what you get from them. They have very high valued masters in their vault, but they make very less out of it.
Agalen
Same here. To much high EQ. Don't understand why they don't make Remastering. They have the original master tapes.
