Super stoked to have this on vinyl, avoided buying the other pressing due to horror stories. Sounds amazing.
Felolak
Heads and shoulders better than previous pressings, which I considered to be unlistenable. Very clean pressing that makes the songs sound even more intimate. This is the one to get if you want this album.
Otiel
Fantastic pressing, Atrophy really shines on this release and in general all the quieter vocals have tons more clarity
Nightscar
Incredible pressing, best version of this album currently available. Very happy with it.
Wrathshaper
did not expect to see hbox on discogs haha nice
Nirn
I don't have an earlier pressing to compare it to but this sounds great. Also looks beautiful on white.
Kage
For the first time as a vinyl junkie we can listen to it on wax seriously. Thanks.
Beardana
Yes! Confirmed to be way better than the 2009 pressing! :)
Jorad
Not perfect but certainly a huge improvement over previous pressing. Technically my 2 records are perfect. No off-center holes, scratches or noticeably warped.I compared it against digital (just regular MP3 320 kpbs through DAC) side by side and it's noticeably more spacious and rich. I think that a lot of emphasis and care were put into bringing Silberman's voice up front as he carries the narrative. Thirteen is breathtaking and even more hauntingly beautiful than anywhere else. There are however some sections of noticeable surface noise, coincidentally on the more distorted parts of the album but I guess that’s left to the ear of the beholder. All in all a release that satisfies.
Rocksmith
Really an improvement in pressing quality and sound. Still not perfect. The center holes of both discs aren't exactly in the center. This album would deserve the perfect treatment and being pressed in a high-standard pressing plant like Record-Industry or RTI.
Tat
If you love Hospice, get this pressing because it makes the album feel more special and emotional.
Nejind
This is an incredible repressing of this legendary record. Little to no surface noise apart from the first disk, with much more overall clarity compared to the original 2009 version.
Redfury
The remaster is definitely an improvement. Very quiet pressing. I’m glad it’s spread over two discs. Unfortunately both of my discs have a slight warp but the sound isn’t impacted. I prefer this version over the original pressing and the cd.
Na
Can confirm it's light years ahead of the original. Probably the first time I've actually heard some of the notes on "Two" and "Shiva." "Epilogue" in particular sounds better than it does on digital. The only issue I have is that there's some surface noise at the beginning of "Wake" but it's built into the song so that's more an issue with the song than the vinyl.
Modred
Sounds waaay better than my old pressing. Nicely done remaster.
