This is a great album, but I'm super annoyed by the surface noise issues that others have also expressed (side b especially). I'll need to purchase a different pressing to really enjoy this album on vinyl.

How do I distinguish this from the 2008 capitol vaults pressing? I am pretty sure I have this 2003 capitol But not positive. It sounds fantastic though.

The 2003 ones were just parlophone not Capitol so you have a 2008 version

My Capitol/EMI pressing sounds amazing. No issues. I also have the original Parlophone pressing and find them indistinguishable. Maybe there were only issues with the first run? My real wish is that Kid A and Amnesiac would be reissued on 12" vinyl instead of those 10" versions, but looks like no...

I've had my copy for several years now and just went to check side B. My copy sounds GREAT! And I have an old needle I should replace, and it still sounds fine. Very fortunate.

Just played a b c d. Sounded awesome. I was worried about another shitty pressing but I lucked out. And side D is such a great bunch songs....love radiohead

Unfortunately I bought this new today without looking at the reviews. Surface noise on side B - as others have said - is inexcusable. Several pops on side C so far. I wish I would have ordered an earlier pressing online instead of picking this one up in the store. This is the perfect edition for someone without a turntable.My rating is for the record - not this pressing.

I just want to add my voice to the discussion and say that I bought this new tonight and it sounds pretty damn good! Not much surface noise at all, on any of the sides. I was expecting the vinyl equivalent of hell, especially when i flipped the records over....but all i got was some occasional crackles and pops, nothing major and no warps or other vinyl demons. Superb album, just superb!

The surface noise on side B is absolutely inexcusable. 3rd copy same problem, same swelling white noise. Capitol's fault.

I think these are all bad. I've been through 3 new copies. They all have terrible surface noise on side b and the spindle on record 2 is horribly tight.

Been having problems playing this and putting it back into packaging. Very irritating when record skips over due to warping.

I have several of the Capitol "From the Vault" reissues and have to say that I am not impressed at all. I think the issue is a lack of quality control + laziness. Pressing on 180 gram isn't always the difference between night and day (in my experience), especially when they are stuffing these new, heavier vinyls into reprints of the original packaging that are clearly not intended for a 2 x 180 gm LP. If you can, save your pennies for a Parlophone press, I have the Parlophone reissue of "I Might be Wrong" (not 180 gm) and it sounds AMAZING!

Arrgh yes! Not a great pressing unfortunately. Pretty crackly and noisy on all of the sides.
