Ferri - My name
Just bought a copy of this and the pressing is pretty much okay (no surface noise, clicks or pops) - I would say average compared to other US releases. It's not hi-fi, but the music is not intended to be hi-fi, I guess.
Bought this at their show and was hoping to snag the clear edition, came here to mention how noisy and crackly my copy was and it's really unfortunate that everyone else seems to have the same issue. It's a beautiful looking album for sure and the music inside is easily one of 2016's best, but holy hell...what a weird pressing.
Lots of surface noise, pops and crackles post-cleaning. Really unfortunate. The music is great, though.

Anyone else have a fair amount of surface noise on their copy? Great looking record though
Yeah, its kinda disappointing. I emailed the label and they sent a new copy which sounds slightly better
I have other Secretly Canadian records and they also have a lot of surface noise. I suspect they use a crappy pressing plant.
Anyone know the difference between the clear and the clear blue edition of this album? How many copies or if it's limited at all?http://www.secretlydistribution.com/whitney/
Looks like there's quite a few issues of this one. I almost picked up the secret society clear vinyl but the shipping was too much to the UK. If memory serves correct the description of the secret society clear stated a press of 200 and additional 'tattoo'. I assume this is a fake tattoo of the flowers on the sleeve. There's a tranlucent blue is a press of 500 for indies only in the UK and then the current Secretly Canadian pre-order states just a blue vinyl. Not sure if this is different to the UK indie one.
I preordered really early and apparently I'm set to get the clear (not blue) LP. My receipt says "Secret Society Exclusive - Clear Vinyl." As far as what that means, no clue. Just pumped for the album!
