Painwind
Pretty damn good pressing. Only gripe is the print quality on the sleeve is complete ass. Type looks good, but the band's faces are blurry and wrought with scan lines.
Runeterror
My pressing info is identical, except it has “Printed in Canada” on the spine. I’m guessing listing should read both USA and Canada.
Hunaya
I would guess that, too, because mine also says "printed in canada."
Goldendragon
This pressing is dead quiet I would recommend to anyone that loves this album!
MEGA FREEDY
My copy came with absolutely no lint on the vinyl. Of the few dozen records I've gotten new this is the only time that has happened.
Arcanefire
The notes say there should be a lyric sheet inside, but I didn't seem to get one in my brand new sealed copy! meh, not that bothered... ok I'm a little bothered but I'll live.Awesome album though, high quality vinyl from a high quality band, what more could you ask for.... apart from a lyric sheet.
JoJogar
My copy of this release is on flat, dead-quiet vinyl. The soundstage is huge with awesome separation. These guys take their studio time seriously and this mix is beyond good. Strong at all frequencies, natural tones and in your face vocals. Great high frequency detail but still warm overall. This album is so good and this release is its equal. Highly recommended. Do any of you cool dudes know if there is a EU press of this by Optimal (usually) around the same time? Or is there just this US press from 2006
Thetath
Dynamic sound that does the album justice, plus the wax is dead quiet and flat. I can't fault it for anything.
Hra
I think I was mistaken, from what I found it's actually cut from the original analog masters. I can vouch for the '06 US version being one of the nicest reissues I have. The '13 EU pressing was pressed at Optimal instead of RTI but otherwise it should be the same master. Feel free to double check and see if that's what others are saying. Hope this helps.
Drelahuginn
Would anyone who has heard this version vs. the original care to comment on the effect of the "Remastering" on this pressing? I'd be much obliged for any comments on this "remastering".
Jediathain
I have both and the original sounds more mysterious but also more straight-forward, the interjecting sounds sound more like they were produced by people playing instruments and performing decided melodies/parts and less like improvising aliens as they do in the reissue. Less things are highlighted so the recording ends up feeling warmer and slightly less mindblowing but this also makes it more of a creeper. Things like the second song sounding less frantic and instead like a laid back walk in the park make the whole thing feel different, like purer but less trippy acid
Tygrafym
I just played the original then right behind that the 180g and it sounds very good and full...much like one would expect from a 180g remaster....totally worth it.
Wat!?
It sounds amazing.
Livina
Discogs fellow , I own an original US in really good condition , bought it used in 1996 ! Through that copy I got seriously drilled into the masterpiece . A year ago I was searching for a vinyl flac copy since I can't make one from my copy at the moment , accidentally stumbled upon the reissue you are asking about , downloaded it and listened ... I was skeptical , yesterday I searched for another copy and found a Scandinavian original ... and yes , it rendered the reissue sound rather crappy , compressed and of course , the most unnoying , it sounded as "another" thing in all (it is such a sin to alter and spoil Eno's impeccable production...)
