There is a repress coming in approx. 5 weeks for this record. Unless unscheduled delay from U.S plants

update: the new tests have arrived and have been approved. the record had to be recut as the stampers broke [that was early April]. repress should be out in a few weeks. apologies about delay. everything is taking far longer than normal in the U.S right now. Carl

I don't know where these few copies at Phonica and Kristina have come from. The plant in the U.S has been delaying records for months. As far as i'm aware the official repress hasn't dropped, but its due soon. There will be no picture sleeve, i've spoken to Ben, our goal is have the record readily avaialble. The expense for the picture sleeve is too much right now. Anyway, hopefully it's back everywhere asap. I will double check with Complete in the U.S and see if its been done.

yeah, no worries about the picture sleeve. interesting article in fact today from Kudos about how RSD really clogs up the vinyl press pipeline. kindof a shame, not like the world needs more The Shins 7"s or whatever

the poster idea is a great idea. it makes this pressing unique and honors the original pressing which had the sleeve artwork. i want to keep costs as affordable as possible, not only for me but for people buying the music. the artist needs to receive compensation as well. appreciate the feedback.

You have a huge 3 dollar electricity bill man, you will really need to stop playing the records you are buying to save money on that

The objective of a repress is to supply additional demand at an affordable price. The artwork/sleeve, as great as it is, should be a secondary consideration to the re-production of the music. Especially if it impacts the affordability of the release. If you're a collector I suggest you wait for an original copy to crop up for an acceptable price. I, for one, will be satisfied to play the record. If the original artwork is included, that's great. If not, I still have a staggeringly good piece of music and enough money left over to pay my electricity bill in order to enjoy it ;)Perhaps the artwork could be included as a poster with the repress, or even separately, if it is as essential to the release as some make out?

alright leave it with. will talk to Ben and complete and figure it out. don't think too many people would buy at $18usd. half of the battle is keeping it affordable. but i hear what your saying and will process it.

HI Carl, looking to the figures on Discogs, if you'd press up 500 they will sell easily, already half wanting the vinyl, and to my opinion the other half follows via online record stores, easily as well. not printing the sleeve will make collector's hesitate to buy, like myself, I'd rather wait to see one appear here on Discogs at reasonable price. this is a collector's piece, of outstanding music, the cover is part of it, I'd say anyone would buy it for 15-18usd with printed cover, seeing the average price is 30usd up to you to make the calculation, thanks again anyway for making this happen

The picture sleeve isn't planned for this repress. It costs over $575 [U.S] to print the sleeves at a minimum run of 500 copies. Thats not cost effective at the moment. I'm open to it in the future. Right now I want to make Ben Cenac and the label a little bit of money. The label runs at a loss as it is.
