Since this unofficial vinyl was released before the official 1998 CD presumably, I assume it was sourced from the cassette audio. I have not heard the original cassette mix though. I only know the CD version which was remixed by Greg Ginn for its 1998 CD release, from what I read on Wikipedia. This vinyl has significantly less low-end and bass guitar compared to the remixed CD. The CD sounds a lot fuller, maybe tending to sound boomy to my ears. I don't know if that is true to what the original cassette mix sounds like. Or how they sounded live back then at all - they don't sound that boomy on Who's Got The 10½? either. Apart from that this vinyl sounds pretty good - especially for an unofficial release. Pressing quality as well as cutting volume totally fine - particularly in regards with both sides running about 27 minutes long. It might be that caused the lack of low-end though.

Does anyone know what the sound quality on this is like?

Just like the official cassette. Not bad for a bootleg.

On the Vinyl pressing it's good re the unofficial version I've got from '91 I'd recommend it in terms of the sound quality

It's great so long as the tape isn't worn. I'd rather listen to this than the studio stuff.
