"Rising from the ashes of the defunct Vancouver pop punk band Golden Touch, drummer/singer Sasha and guitarist Cam launched Cascadia in 2010. "Personally, I got frustrated playing in other bands 'cause I couldn't write music with other people as easy as it is for me and Sasha to write music together," Cam explains. "We decided to try something new with a totally different sound." Cascadia's music sees the pair embrace a noisier, post-punk sound. With Dan added on bass in 2012, the three-piece finds itself treading somewhere between the heaviness of Jesu and the rock experimentation of Sonic Youth. Cascadia stopped by Shards in June 2013 in the midst of their biggest tour to date, supporting their new EP Level Trust released just months earlier. This tour marked the band's first trip to the northeast United States."
