Hello... I want to say, "Thank You" to every new fan, every new friend, that I have reached through my first album of Italian Songs. To have had the kind of music I enjoy singing most accepted by so many was a new thing to me... the nicest thing that's happened to me in my career.

As is the case with many Italian-Americans of the younger generation, somewhere along the way I lost the "identification" I should have felt- the ties that bound me to a rich Italian heritage. And it surely was my loss.

Many young people of Italian-American heritage aren't fully aware of the culture that has given so much to the world and has so much to offer us still. Recording my first Italian LP, and now this one, has made me realize how lucky I am to have been born of this heritage - with its passionate love of life, beauty and music.

I've tried to include a variety of songs - old Italy and new Italy, songs from our American hit parade and even a song from an operetta. I hope you like the English words I've written to my favorite in the LP-"Senza Mamma." I hope you'll like evertyhing because I can't remember when I've liked recording anything more.
