Does anyone know if the disks are the same in the standard pressing?
Very Old Chap
No, there are different labels. The matrix numbers are the same.
Ubranzac
Please don't buy this record. Absolutely overpriced. That's a joke. Three times the normal price... Are you kidding me?
Kerdana
This was a bit of a disappointment for me. I bought the ltd edition in a rush as I only heard of it minutes before it went on sale. I was actually thinking they would include some rare song or something, but instead they just added a few b-side that we all had heard before. This is a good piece in a collection, I believe, but just because Damien numbered this and it having a clothed cover, I don't think this is worth those 100€ I paid. The regular edition has the same listening experience, and it costs 20€.
Warianys
I actually have a collection of Damien Rice stuff, so I'll keep this one as well. I think you might be able to find it online somewhere (maybe join some Damien Rice group if you're not in already). Good luck!
Fordrelis
Would you want to sell it to me at a reasonable price?
Uyehuguita
Totally agree with the comments, I followed the website for over six months, didn't check one day and not only where the special editions promoted, they were sold out - I'm sure Damien Rice happily numbered a 1000 editions to allow these scalpers to buy them up and attempt to sell them such ridiculous prices. I note not one has sold - hope it never does.My highest offer is £30 !
Anicasalar
3 days before these went on sale there was a post stating the exact time these were going up
MrRipper
this release has incredible sound. Its amazing how clear this pressing and recording is since it was completely digitally recorded!
Rishason
There's a special place in hell for all you flippers who bought this up before fans could get it. I hope I can help the devil shovel coal to make sure you have a warm place to stay.
Ger
Do you prefer they magically make the exact number to satisfy everyone?....everything in this world is limited and valued accordingly.
Renthadral
Have to share your disappointment too. I really wish that artists/music outlets took note of all the account numbers of all the people who immediately sold them (and similar products) on discogs/ebay so that they could be blocked for future sales. It's a truly dishonourable way to make money. Having said that, I also believe that these limited editions are sometimes pressed in such ridiculously low quantities that it only exasperates the problem - I'd happy buy the same product without an autograph or hand-written number thank you - limiting such a desirable product is simply bad judgement on the record label's (or artist's?) part too.
Munimand
Love that this "limited" release went on sale earlier than advertised to scalpers who immediately resold it afterwards at 10x the advertised cost.
Rexfire
It went on sale the exact time that he said it was going to on social.
Oparae
It did not go no sale earlier than advertised. Also 10x is exaggerating just a bit, aye?
uspeh
This thing is great and all, but no where near worth what the weenies flipping it here are asking for. Buying the standard version will bring you the exact same listening pleasure.
Wat!?
When you posted your comment there were actually three different weenies selling two copies, surely they must live a life that brings much embarrassment to their families.
Malien
I have both and agree that the listening pleasure will be the same as it is the exact same vinyl. Criminal that there are copies for sale here that were purchased purely for profit, thereby denying collectors the opportunity to purchase a copy at a more realistic (albeit still quite expensive) price. I see one seller even has 2 copies for sale - how on Earth did they manage that?
RUL
Absolutely criminal that at least 13 of these have ended up in the hands of people trying to make a fast buck.
WtePSeLNaGAyko
He's a flipper apologist because he is indeed a flipper himself
Ventelone
How do you come to that conclusion? Criminal? Apologist? The description of those sellers as criminal hardly suggests an apologist standpoint.
Ahieones
You sure seem to be a flipper apologist. Not sure why though.
Skiletus
13 out of 1000 is actually really low, actually. yo
