Notes

Please note: 1975 RCA Indianapolis tan labels are first press. For more information please read and /or research before changing to repress.

This submission is for the original release with the beige (or tan) label. According to a seemingly knowledgeable person on the Steve Hoffman forums, RCA transitioned from the orange to the tan labels in 1975. "they first turned up in early 1975, and" were "initially used exclusively by RCA's Indianapolis, IN factory" ... "Hollywood used orange well into late 1975 - and only in its last several months of existence (it closed in 1976) did they press in tan."

Mine has the same matrix runouts as this listing
Matrix / Runout (A-side etched, Variation 1): APL1-0998-A-205 MCR
Matrix / Runout (B-side etched, Variation 1): APL1-0998-B-105 MCR

BUT it has the black RCA labels!
It also has A3 stamped into the side A matrix, and A(scribble)6 in side B with the addition of a hand-etched PR. Do I have an unlisted pressing that exists between this listing and the next US pressing? Listed here https://www.discogs.com/David-Bowie-Young-Americans/release/7973535

Regarding the orange and tan labels . I have seen Young Americans ( this catalog number) and also Aladdin Sane with a tan label on side one and an orange label on side 2. Anyone know anything about this ? I have gone through the US releases on both and see nothing about having both colors labels on 1 LP.

This pressing sounds great. Dead quiet between songs, and good sound separation.
