I have another third man records recording and it sounds amazing. Something must have gone wrong that day. This is a major let down.
Vuzahn
Recording quality on this record is sadly sub-par - don't be deceived by the "direct to acetate" marketing, it doesn't matter if the recording sucks.
Drelajurus
Sadly not as good as I was hoping. Everything felt off.
Flamehammer
Not a very good sounding record, more of a gimmick than a proper live album.
Mr.Death
I thought the sound quality was pretty poor for this release. Maybe why it was so cheap... shame.

This is a really cool performance, but what absolutely sucks is that (I assume) the recording techs didn't know DFA's music well because they cut off the outro to the last song! You can even hear it beginning as the music fades out. There was plenty of dead wax left on that side to finish it out. Super upsetting. But hey, it's inexpensive and still very good.

I was at the show and they didn't cut it off, they ran out of time. DFA's b-side set ran too long to fit on a single side. You can watch the techs cut in real-time on monitors during the performance and you could tell they weren't going to get the whole thing in. Jesse and Sebastien even joked and laughed about it after the song. They also did a bunch of earlier songs after the recording finished, mostly as requests from the audience
