Derek Marin - Modemix Mp3

This is actually my favorite depeche mode comp - i listen to it all the time.
It's like a best of compilation but mixed together & re-edited and in that way i think it works very well.
Anyone who appreciates proper dj mixes will love to hear their favorite DM tracks continuously blended together.

This mix is definitely not an "official" mix but it actually fills a void in the Depeche Mode catalog. There are absolutely no official dj mixed compilations in the entire DM catalog and considering their affiliation to the electronic music world it leads one to wonder why there isn't a proper dj mix compilation. Modemix in my mind fits that bill quite nicely.

I really expected much more of that CD than what I received...

First of all a CD like this is just a bootleg whithout any legal background, because it's using absolutely original mixes of the original artist.

Furthermore this "flawless" mix is really nothing more than flawless, because there's absolutely NO "own" additional contribution like own sounds, own samples or own vocals! It's nothing more than what you can hear at your favourite discotheque on the weekend, when your DJ is mixing some Depeche Mode songs for his famous Depeche Mode session. Derek Marin is just taking one DM maxi-single after each other and lets them flow into each other. That's it, nothing more, no additional beats, sounds, nothing. It's just like the "My personal mixing tape" that you get from your friends, when they have some DM maxi singles and a turntable.
I have never been so disappointed by a CD that pretends to be "official", even most (if not all) "real" bootlegs out there, NOT pretending to be official, are better!
Sorry, you should better not buy that one!
