This is one seriously under-appreciated / unknown EP. Sounds like the Digital One guys, from the USA, were well into the UK late 91 early 92 sound. Who could we blame for the cross pollination? Maybe Frankie Bones? Maybe the guys were US DJs on UK label mailing lists. Anyways, A1 Thoratic is a hands in the air rave piano banger, but don't let that put you off. A2 - Outermind - an elevating master blend of US deep house bassline and the UK breakbeat style of the times. Now the B side (as is mainly the case) is where it gets PROPER... Thoratic B1 is remixed in to a heavy heavy bleep stomper with masterful samples of the vocal from Meat Beat Manifesto's Radio Babylon. Guaranteed to get any 1992 headz grooving. B2 Outermind , Glider Mix, becomes a rolling tech house number. Hat off to Digital One. Top production.
