Chords on "Say It Slowly (N.U.M. Mix)" refer to "Effervescence Featuring Cuchy ‎– Keep It Open (Afterdark Mix)"

Since it was released in 2012 Complete spiral has been comforting my worn out soul. One of my favourite DEEP house productions, intricate and very rewarding. Just found out it samples Pal Joey's: "Houseconductor* ‎– Tonight I'm Going To Love You" (1990), but also found out it's really: "Peech Boys ‎– Don't Make Me Wait" (1982) who is being sampled... :-)

I just wish Mark Fell and Sprinkles did more house tracks together. Complete Spiral is in my top 3 deep house tracks of all time and I don't see that changing any time soon. The sort of rigid but complex percussion on top of that ultra-bouncy bassline, with Fell's trademark melodic flourishes, it's all in perfect harmony and meant for infinity. Big words but this track is that good. My copy is getting a bit muddy though :/

I keep coming back to side B whenever I start to feel down unreasonably and want to unwind that mood a little bit. The endless, mellow groove of this track warms me up steadily. I wouldn't call it positivism, rather, it's more of a soft bluesy vibrations. I also want to praise the perfect sense of measure presented here which Terre is known for (at least judging by his house productions).

This is what deep house is all about. Terre's ambient background is serving him well in the house world. And being able to work a beat over, balance that with different sounds than the usual, his attention to detail and retro vibe doesn't hurt either. Another winner.

Completely Spiraling out of this world
