You can just hear that transition from the snotty garage punk of 66' and 67' into the psychedelic heavy 68' and 69' on both sides of this fantastic 45. Great fuzzed out guitar solos with a more psychedelic edge and the inclusion of horns on the flip shows the transition between these distinct musical eras wasn't direct. Even though it was on a major label, it's a rarity. I'm guessing it flopped because by 68' these angry anthems were good and dead on the charts because of all the tame hippy slop. It's a shame because it deserved better.
