Akta
i rarely see this band mentioned in contemporary recollections of the early grind scene, which is an absolute SHAME. Fear of God played pure hate fused into a racket noiser than anyone was doing in "extreme music" at the time. Even the pioneers of harsh noise can't quite compare to this hellstorm for 1988's standards.

As Statues Fell should have something more than cult status from the grindcore scene, as nowadays it is hard to find any noisecore that can't be traced back to this release. While sadly underappreciated, it is Fear Of God whos style remains emulated, copied and regurgitated in the modern grindcore scene.

The blueprint for Warsore, Archagathus, Insect Warfare and many, many, many other grind bands can be found right here.
