Can anyone tell me how to differentiate the 2007 original release from the 2012 repress?
Swiang
I'd like to know this too, but if you look in the review section for the original release, there's a comment there that may help. The original release is published by 'Just Isn't Music'.
Cobandis
has anybody noticed a bad pressing with this one? terrible phasing issues on Tea Leaf Dancers
Leceri
I am not so sure whether they are referring to this chaining technique that you mention and that I just learned about, where the kicks are lowered in order for the bass to remain dominant. I had a listen to the tracks encoded from the lossless source and it seems like the volume was increased too much, whether that is because of bravado or limitations to production that the artist had at that time, and that this has caused interferences in the higher ranges or however else this may be referred to.
Macage
hahah :) please google "sidechaining" compression - there you go - a key to modern beats music.

Supposed to sound that way.... At least 10 words must be entered. Please enter at least 5 more.
