Four years after his last studio album “Chandalismo Ilustrado”, Gecko Turner is back with “Truly”, the first single taken off what is going to be his fourth album, “Gone Down South”. The album, to be released on September 20th is another demonstration of Gecko’s ability to process every experience good or bad and turn it into sunny, uplifting music, blending Motown soul, Afro-Latin, reggae, flamenco, pop and funk seemingly without effort.

The remix on the flipside comes from Canadian beatmaster Kevin Moon aka Moonstarr, founder of PTR Music and veteran DJ and beatmaker/producer.

Gecko Turner’s music is hard to define, but the adjectives we hear most when people refer to his music are “sun-drenched” and “effortless”. Our man has his own style, built from a lot of different influences ranging from The Velvet Underground to reggae, everything on the good side of soul.
