'Lost in the sound' makes heavy use of the 'percussion' preset on the Casio CZ-101 synthesizer. Main rhytem sounds from a Roland TR-707.

Agree with Teknonutter below. The real classic here I think is "Lost In The Sound". Pensive and groovy, lacking a killer hook but somehow incredibly danceable and listenable, picks you up and takes you along in its minor key trip. The Gentry Ice track is cool but not distinctive enough for me to call a classic at all.
Rose Of Winds
'Do you Wanna Jack' is an overlooked Adonis classic, mellower tan 'No Way Back' but also more hypnotic, there is a slight Moroder feel to this overall wonderful deep acid number.

One can possibly overlook Gentry Ice's offering here [AKA Jack Frost & The Circle Jerks AKA Adonis. More precisely "The Sweat Boyz" pressed as a 3 tracker on West Madison Street Records, with 3 excellent corresponding mixes]. Which is a mistake if you're into early chicago acid house & closely related styles of music.

Quality early, deep, acid house music here. The 303 is used mainly as a simple bassline which doesn't evolve or distort as much as many other acid basslines did around that period, keeping it simple and funky. This production focuses more on deep, hypnotic, synth melodies, hi-hats, complex hand claps, and chanting melodies. The "Dub mix" being less vocal and shorter in duration. Really overlooked in my opinion and worth tracking down...also available on the "Jack Trax-Vol 4 compilation", although it only features the "Club Mix".

Adonis was a true innovator of the early house scene and produced so many countless & unique classics.

Lost In The Sound is one example of his talents, and for me the shining star on this 12" single and possibly one of his best to date. Perfectly arranged, deep, instrumental house, with a funky, groovy, latino flavour with melancholy but also ethereal in feeling. Magic...
