Hitch-Hiker & Dumont - 2nd Dimension EP Mp3

Bonzai records along with Le Petit Prince, Low Spirit Recordings and Adam & Eve were the juggernauts of the mid 90's in the hard trance music stage. This release is one of the most complete in every aspect, optical and acoustical. What i mean.
We all know the logo of Bonzai records, but here in Journey of love seems that it fits perfectly with the piano riffs, the tranquility and the birds tweeting in the background. I loved the part of the track that gives you the sensation of standing tall with your hands open in the air and the world keep spinning around you with images of trees and nature marching before your eyes. (I'm talking about the piano section). I cannot say much about the extended version of the track, it's trully a state of art. This intro is one of the best i've heard ever.

2nd dimention is an awesome almost instrumental hard trance track that resembles much to tracks found in Rave Mission series. The intro sounded like Phantasmagoria from Source T-10. Very energetic with acid parts, piano and string melodies to soften the bass and drum sounds. It was a common technique in this kind of tracks to have these kinds of interludes in the song.

Firedance is actually a remix by Hitch-Hiker & Dumondt. The track is credited to Axis. Same music pattern with 2nd dimention but this time the drum and bass parts are a little less intense. Also the piano and string parts are missing. Instead, we have an arpeggiated bass part throughout the track that sometimes changes octave to add flactuation in the rhythm. Not bad at all, although i always loved piano riffs and strings (in all their varieties).

It's a release that'll keep you busy exploring sounds and imagining landscapes.........
