Iron Maiden - Wasted Years Mp3

This is a very nice record.

The A-side contains the title-track 'Wasted Years' unedited, the way a single should contain its title-track.

The B-side contains an actual "B-side"-track called 'Reach Out'.
It's a song credited to a guitarist named Dave Colwell, who played in bands such as Bad Company and Samson.
Of which the latter I'm sure was the key to collaborate with Iron Maiden.
The track has a typical '80s Rock-style to it.
It's not a very heavy or fast song, but more similar to 'Wasted Years' for example, just more fresh and touchy.

But I always thought that the singer on 'Reach Out' was that Colwell-guy and Bruce Dickinson on backing-vocals.
However, doing some more research on it, apparently it's Adrian Smith doing the lead-vocals, which it indeed sounds like.
His way of singing is one of the contributors to the '80s-style.
Apparently he also played bass on the track and also 'Wasted Years' was written by Smith.

So it kind of revolves around his work, which is nice if you like that.
And you get some extra and unusual material, which is cool.
Besides the content of the record, you also get a nice sleeve with Derek Riggs' signature-style artwork, specifically for the single.
Plus on the back a photo of Iron Maiden at the time.

The record sounds really good, the audio is very dynamic.
There is not much wrong with this release besides the fact that 7"-singles are just short.
But in general this is an excellent and useful single.
