Notes

Recorded 23rd and 24th Jan. 1958
By arrangement with Garnet H. Carroll.
Sleeve notes are as follows:
"Judy banks, born in Melbourne, 22-year-old sensational find of garnet Carroll, was so surprised to find herself the female romantic lead in Julian Slade's successful "SALAD DAYS," that she still lives in a world of wonder that it's all happened to her.
She was educated at Melbourne Church of England Girls' Grammar School, where she was a member of the School Dramatic Society.
Whilst holidaying in North America, the Continent and England, she took a course as a model, and finally worked both as a model as well as an accounting machine operator. During her London stay she saw a musical called "SALAD DAYS" and immediately bought the Galaxy record of the original cast, having no idea "That I'd be playing it myself." A keen enthusiast of ballroom dancing, skiing and golfing, she is without a doubt the most enchanting, vivacious personality to grace our stages for some time.
Garnet H. Carroll has a great future planned for this talented young performer. The papers have held nothing but praise for her, in words raving plaudits that would more than fill covers the size of this.
SALAD DAYS, now in its fifth year at Vaudeville Theatre, London, where Garnet H. Carroll saw it in its early days before it became such a hit, deeply impressed at its possibilities and immediately bought it for Australia. This was a wise move, for it looks like breaking all existing show records."
