This awesome album is the second best LAZERHAWK album, in my opinion. The best for me is its predecessor, 'Redline'. But 'Visitors' comes very close to it. This album has something of a space-disco approach (also present in 'Redline', in a lesser degree), but at times with a somewhat dark vibe (little pronounced, though) which you don't find in 'Redline'. The cover artwork suggests the presence of this dark atmosphere, as it is clearly inspired by 80's alien thriller movies (what also fits the album's extraterrestrial/space "theme"). In fact, it was in 'Visitors' that LAZERHAWK started to experiment with darker tones before he went completely darksynth in the following album, 'Skull and Shark' (not a good release, in my opinion, as I can pick up only 5-6 enjoyable tracks among a total of 15, without any memorable moments – although this album somehow seems to please fans of darksynth). The next album, 'DreamRider' is somewhat better (and also less dark, though it has an overall meloancholic mood), but, still, it is far from being comparable to 'Visitors' and 'Redline'. Back to 'Visitors', it is an album comprised mostly by great moments such as the title track 'Visitors', 'Space Is The Place', 'Disco Planet', 'Shoulder Of Orion', 'So Far Away' and 'Beyond The Infinite Void'. The other tracks are good too, though I don't like the short interlude tracks 'Distant Signal 002' and 'Distant Signal 003', which would work better if they were less filtered.
