Notes

Notes on the selections:
This collection contains mostly original discomixes produced by Lee Perry. The audio was extensively restored from original pressings, although the original sound quality was often difficult to work with! Lee Perry's techniques were highly unusual and the tunes often have a raw quality to them, especially the title track.
The source audio for A3 is a custom edit of the original Orchid 12" pressing, ommitting some portions of the deejay section. This was done in order to keep the audio a reasonable quality and length for 1 side of an LP.
The source audio for track B1 was a standard 12" pressing on Seven Leaves records together with a lost extended section recovered from a blank label 12" of unknown origin but which contained a longer version of the same mix. This extra portion required very extensive restoration work.

Have to agree with all the previous comments left on this release, the sound quality is great!
Okay you have to turn it up a bit compared to a regular 12" release, but when you see the prices that a lot of the original releases are going for, then it's a bit of a no brainer really.
Gonna cane these badboys...............

I agree that track a1 sounds worse than the others. Perhaps the original sounds this way too? Or does anyone know of a better sounding version? Anyway, I recommend vol 1 and vol 2. Absolutely mindblowing music.

This Compilation sounds great , track A1 sounds a little less good than other tracks. On track B2 we have an uncreditted Dillinger on the version.
Nice to have those tracks on one record, money saved ! Grab it Perry fans !

Thanks to Colin Young for the notes and details for this record, I have the " D.I.P Presents The Upsetter" and your work on those tracks is great.
I'm gonna look for this Disco Devil and post a review about it soon.
Cheers !
