Sadly, needlessly, pointlessly and sloppily (not getting the right tapes from the vaults or doing home work) this silly 45 is presented in yet again MONO! why? (Avoid snap burn the UK EMI Mercury original cut at Abbey Road is clearly better than this pile of piffle even allowing for the B side being a cash-in continuation)

Shamefully this retro pressing , part of the 6052 series does not even list the legendary Mercury artist and producer Mr Quincy Jones! Thank god the EMI Mercury original does!!!!

Knowing that this is so typically a Mr Jones production with the rhythm feel etc etc there is no argument or can be that this track was made for and meant to be heard in Stereo, a Mercury Living Presence gem once heard this inferior mono mastered piffle can be binned. The vile IEP (Intergral Embossed and Painted) in cream paint are a latter run, the silver on black paper labels with 1 1/2" LH (Large Hole) Die-Cut and propeller style adaptor are the original first runs of this foolishly mono pressing.

Clearly no-one at Phongram did any home work or research hey Quincy Jones fab big orchestra guy a top man at Mercury bet he produced and mixed this for Living Presence Stereo>>>>>> Hey he did, did this have a USA Stereo 7" 33 1/3 release? Blimey it did! Stereo mix on the album too? Wow Excellent well let's lift the Stereo master tapes either the special edition single or the ALBUM master forget the mono single master!!! Retro release this as Mr Jones mixed and intended it to be heard, not the vile USA AM mono Radio release.

Note there is a retro Stereo pressing of this on a German Juke Box Hits 45! Go and enjoy, " I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to, you would cry too if needless mono happened again to you der der der, der der" fade>>>> "It's my party and God gave me two ears, gave me two ears " etc!
