Scott Dickson has been making a name for himself with his chilled out Synthpop under the name Closed Cassette. Now with his debut EP as Local Winds he adds depth, ambience, and meditation to his bag of tricks and the results are not to be missed. There are nods to the best of 90's ambient but unlike the endless jams of those days Scott has created ambient music that adheres to the pop structure of the under 4 minute song. Vignettes of throbbing beats and celestial synths will bring you into a deeper awareness and will as Dylan said "shoot you someplace and shoot you back" all in less time than it takes to notice.
