Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section International imprint have made waves with this sumptuous release from Mallard, being featured on the likes of Mixmag and gaining props from a variety of taste makers from the UK and further afield. This project is something special and visits the deeper end of the spectrum to take you on a voyage into the past, present and surely the future too. We are treated to 5 cuts here, with a wavey percussive treat in ‘Aquitaine’ kicking things off. ‘Surface’ is a slow burner and the chord patterning in all ranges is enough to take you drifting into the distance. The breakbeat feels to ‘Untitled’ build, crescendo and then plummet to a lovely dramatic effect, while the title track ‘Verte’ remind us of Alex Seidel’s work on Money $ex last year.
