This is a f***ing awesome release. McCormack supremacy at its best.

This release is an absolutely banging slice of turn of the millennium UK techno. The Chris McCormack remix is stuff of legend by this day and age; savage drum patterns backed up by awesome spheres, sounding like two mad scientists were tossing around beakers and test tubes in their biochemical laboratory, or something. The thunderous bass line is grumbling 'n' rumbling all over the place, and to top it all off, the hook line is pure awesomeness, consisting of a brief passage with rapidly shifting and alternating notes. Total dance floor devastation.The original is a deranged beast of a track as well. Slamming 4x4 beats, however what really makes it stand a cut above the rest, is a finely crafted chord progression that will really lift you out of your shoes. The more space it is given to fully breathe, the more it emphasizes the intensity of the music. Particularly breathtaking are the brief moments when the percussion is taken out, and the climax is announced by the peaking, ascending violin driven melodic bit. Pretty musical and well pulled off given the fact that we are deeply rooted in hard techno territory here. One of the more inspired Mark EG & Chrissi moments, and that is saying a lot.These two tracks belong to the upper echelon of Blackout Audio's discography. Deranged might as well be just that, but it has the total misfortune of being stuck with two remarkable exponents of vintage, floor shaking techno. Get it, this is one of those from the infinite sea that has stood up very, very good.

Chris McCormacks remix is the one thing that made me buy this record. He delivers a dark pounding remix with that typical McCormack flavour as known by his remixes on Ground (Ground / Craft), Geushky (The Rascal) & Potential(AK-47). In my opinion one of his most underestimated remixes.
