Snake Rocking
Sometimes, you just want to dance. And for that, Martin Solveig's SMASH is here for you. From the upbeat party hit "Hello" to come on of "Ready 2 Go," this album is meant for maximum dancefloor explosion. And while it's not great art by any means, it succeeds in what it sets out to do. There's plenty of fun, too, like the pure stomp of "Can't Stop" and "We Came to Smash." And if some of the lyrics are ridiculous ("Big in Japan"), that's part of the fun. Once you get past the singles, though, the other tracks begin to feel like filler. The US version of the album includes three remixes, include the crazed electro of Dada Life's take on "Hello" or Hardwell's organ-heavy take on "Ready 2 Go." Ready? Let's go!
