Notes

Second pressing with plain white center labels.
Screen-printed heavy paste-on cardboard jacket with white border around orange background and black band logo.
Different mix and side B track order than on later versions.

Issued with double sided lyric insert.

Pressing Note:
The record plant made an error and accidentally printed covers with orange background instead of the ordered red colored one. So the band waited for the correctly printed red covers before they distributed and sold the first pressing of the record (with printed center labels) to public. The first pressing quickly sold out and the band ended up pressing more record (with plain white center labels). They used the covers with the orange background which they bought at a discount from the pressing plant and combined them with these repressed records.
So the second pressing of the record was actually sold in the original, misprinted cover.

Recorded December 1981 in Houston.

No catalog number appears on the release; MDC-1 is derived from the runout area etchings.

I have the Black Border, Red background, and Black "MDC" & R- Radical Records 1982 - as what Matt describes. I bought mine in 1984 or 1985 Houston, TX. Possible 4th pressing?
Blacknight
Hi Jeff. They appear to be 3rd pressings. The runout etchings match, and if you look at the listing for vinyl for sale there are 1 or 2 for sale that match and are described as early examples of 3rd pressings. Matt

Hi Djeff68.This copy I have doesn't have the c and p in the right hand corner.I have only ever seen Alternative Tentacles pressings until recently. Also the badge on the cops arm is white and red, which is a little differnent to most I have seen ( most being blue and black). Here in Australia we must have gotten copies of this through the UK, which if memory serves got here around 1984 or so, this is also the case for the Multideath Corporations EP which came out on CRASS.ThanksMatt
