Mela Nina - Magic Summer is an awesome song. Its so catchy. The song have a cheesy feel to it.But its cheesy in a good way.I remember when this song came out in the summer of 1997,i liked that song right away. This song was quite popular in clubs in Canada.Mostly in Montréal.The vinyl is quite rare and hard to find.Im glad to have the vinyl. The (Acoustic Extended Mix) is as good as the (Extended Mix). When it comes to eurodance music, lots of people says that eurodance music from 1997 was bad. They says that the last good year of eurodance was 1995.I dont agree with that.1994 and 1995 will always be the ultimate years of eurodance.But,1996 and 1997 also had lots of good eurodance music.Eurodance music from 1997 is underrated.Magic Summer was 1 of the best eurodance song of 1997.I listen this song every summers.I even listen this song every winters. Its that good.Mela Nina ‎– Magic Summer = Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Italians really knew how to make great dance music in the 90s.Thats for sure.
From my perspective, 1997 was a transition period. The artists finding international success peaked around 1995, and in the case for Real McCoy, their 1997 follow-up was not as good. 1998/99 brought Aqua & Vengaboys which catapulted the "Bubblegum Dance" genre to the forefront of the Eurodance scene. If you didn't listen to Scandinavian Europop then you were into the Trance or House scene. The cheesy Euro of 1997+ wasn't as popular as the 93-96 stuff but was still made for fun times.
