I love the whole Labyrinth Series. For me, the best way to enjoy this music is to play the 5.1 mix DTS CD. The mixes are really immersive and you find yourself in a bubble of sound. Superb!

Namlook released over 30 DTS CDs of music in 5.1 so that makes for hours of amazing music in Surround.

Really good album. Really deep journey. Really fine experience, music experience...This my 1st impression :-) Now i have to listen other parts...

I thought I'd post a quick review after finally getting a chance to give the Labyrinth series some attention. I thought I'd be the first reviewer here, but I guess this release was good enough to warrant a few to beat me to it! But for my 2 cents...

You're instantly drawn in to the forboding, distant, alien soundscapes via track 1. Extremely catchy for ambient downtempo. You know at once you're dealing with a new FAX classic. You think, who's this Montana guy? Whoever he is, he and PK are collaborating sublimely. Track 3 builds on 1, with gorgeous sequencing thrown in.

I won't detail every track, but by the pure ambient 5 I'm thinking "that must be it", as most MD/PK albums end after 3-5 tracks, often with an ambient bit. I'm pleasantly surprised as we get a wonderful t6. And a t7!...

7 is shiver time. Awesome driving sequences with viscous aqueous sweepy synths flow DTS back to front to back. Then an epilogue in track 8.

Kudos to them for breaking the recent FAX trend of 3-4 track CDs and venturing into 8 track territory. They explore a range of ideas and nothing drags on yet nothing seems prematurely truncated. It's a perfect compromise and a perfect symbiosis. The production is impeccable and the DTS superb. A must-own!

A fantastic collaboration album with some wonderful past similarities associated with early Fax ambient-rhythm classics esp: From Within 1,2,3, Dreamfish 1, Fires Of Ork 1, Shadow 1 and 2...Labyrinth works exceedingly well as a whole keeping you absorbed and fully immersed with its excellent composition and sophistication in s sublime fusion of ambient, Idm, techno, downtempo music - In-factt this is a collaboration that pushes the boat in the field of ambient-techno (+) further out then most other artist out there!. The deep spacey drifting like ambient, the graceful soft tech effects & textures, the excellent combination of analogue and digital equipment, the warm padded drum-machine programming with thoughtful seductive synth melodies that sit somewhere between idm and techno all bring together a sense of great progress & development as each track begins to unfold & add layers to its development Both Namlook & Montana create many beautiful sublime sophisticated moments with many engaging interesting ideas that always remain elegant warm and thoughtful sounding, while also deeply complex at the same time. A album that will certainly bring memories of past Fax ambient-techno classic 90's chill-out era, yet still manage to sound very fresh, ahead, and quiet different to anything else out there today, esp within the ambient-techno(Idm) scene. Highly Recommended!

The first time I heard this release was on stereo and not on DTS. Well I can assure you it makes a big difference. It gives an extra dimension to the music. Not many artists deliver a well balanced mix between IDM and Chill out/Ambient.

Labyrinth is alive and full of emotion from begin till end. Every track of this album tells its own story. synths of Pete are nicely integrated with Lorenzo's sounds. So a pretty solid release I´d say. Worth noting is the strong opener, path I. Lovely sequence with a dark synth line and Lorenzo's clicks and cuts. Namlook's xylophone solo makes the journey complete. It gives the same feeling when listening to the old classics from the 90's.

This album is really good. In my opinion, one of the best albums produced by Namlook lately. Very calm ambient chill out with Montana's IDMish touch. I hope we'll see another one from them soon.
