digytal soul

Niyaz is obviously the bright side of Azam Ali and Loga Ramin Torkian. Anyone who prefers dark, meditative or ambient soundscapes, would surely go with Ali's - awesome - solo works.
"The Fourth Light" follows the roots of the previous albums, only this time it seems that several things are missing…
- The erotism of "Nahan"
- The excellence of "Mazaar"
- The ecstatic power of "Feraghi"
- The mesmerising melody of "Minara"
- The mystery of "Iman", "Arzusun", "In The Shadow of Life", and "Vafa".
Sound production is very good (as usual), but the electronic parts are somehow poor, and the drum kits predictable (if not tiring) - especially the bass drums. I think that most tracks of this album would be fine to play for Iranian (or eastern in general) wedding parties. There are only 2-3 a bit more inspired songs, for extended usage (Tam e Eshq, Khuda Bowad Yaret, Shir Ali Mardan).
No complaints, it's simply because of the high musical level of this trio, i was expecting more.
