Coiron
Northaunt's first album, released on a now-defunct Polish label Fluttering Dragon is a fairly executed venture into the realm of dark ambient. Through the use of haunting and dreary ambient textures, employment of snippets of field recordings and nature sounds typical for this genre as well as timely use of instruments (most notably piano and guitar), the album manages to stir your imagination and evoke various images, without being pretentious or falling into a cliche.
All in all a quality production, best enjoyed with headphones on and lights off.
