finally, for this months dose of Metal-Punk, we've got the PARASITE sin EP. Granted, the needle is definitely leaning toward the metal side on this one, but the riffage is at least as much GASTUNK as it is IRON MAIDEN and the drumming is more tribal / KILLING JOKE - style than metallic. This is good stuff, with a galloping A-side ("Doreijima") that recals the RANDY UCHIDA GROUP a bit and a slower dirge on the flip that slowly builds to an epic fist-pumping finish. This single would be right at home on the High Society Satanic Records roster, but it was released by the UK's Tadpole Records (6 Gardner Street, Brighton, BN1 1UP, UK). In true Metal-Punk style, this release features terribly pixilated pencil art of the grim reaper tooling around a graveyard in a hellhound-drawn-coffin-mobile. Awesome.
