Blood Music special pressings > most other vinyl. They make them look so beautiful and yet they also retain that sought after sound quality that falls short in so many modern day pressings.
I haven't had any such experience and am an avid collector of vinyl in general. I do gently clean most of my records upon reception through shipping (save my retail copies that I appropriately store and leave untouched) but never dealt with having to go and get it extensively cleaned. I guess what I was getting at with my prior comment is that many electronica records don't translate well to low budget vinyl pressing. Each and every one of my Blood Music records have excellent sound floor levels and manage to make a somewhat noise/dark synth heavy artist like Perturbator sound wonderful and crisp. This is all my own opinion, but I have never been let down by anything from BM to be honest.
What? All of their albums I've bought on vinyl have been incredibly dirty. I had to take it to a guy with an in-groove cleaner to get them sounding good. I know tha tnew vinyl usually comes with some stuff on it but I have white crap falling out of the jacket when opening it. Incredibly hard to clean with just a carbon fibre brush and MoFi liquid/brush.
