I suspect that 'You've Got The Gun' is written by Pete Langford of The Barron Knights. I have an Acetate of The Barron Knights singing this song, purchased before I heard of Philly Dog, and it is definitely The Barron Knights. The recording on the Barron Knights Acetate is exactly the same as the recording on the Philly Dog single, therefore I suspect Philly Dog are The Barron Knights.
