The Guitar Track was Laid Down By The GAP BAND's Guitarist. The Gap Band was finishing their Studio Session when RRG & Duffy Hooks III arrived to finish the Record. Duffy Needed a Guitar Track so he asked The Gap Bands Guitarist if he would mind staying over and I believe Duffy Paid him $75 for his services. (Another little Known secret about this record.-It was recorded on the same 2" Master Tape as was the previous RRDC recording "The Gigolo Rapp" by Disco Daddy & Captain Rapp. If You Listen to the 2 records you will notice The Drum Tracks are the same ..The Tempo , The Breaks, Everything the only Difference are the Keyboards & The Guitar. Tracks. LOL .. We Were on a tight budget Back then & we would often Record 2 songs on the Same Master Tape - Another one was Rich Cason' Year 2001 Boogie ( Rappers Rapp Disco Co.) & Captain Rapp - Bad Times (I Can't Stand It) .. Those 2 Songs were recorded on the Same 2" Master Tape.... Of Course Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis Laid down additional Tracks over the Original Rich Cason Master Recording. - We would Try to get 2 Records Out of one Song If We Could.. A historical Footnote . From Rappers Rapp Disco Co.
