Wakeman is openly critical of these recordings, claiming sharp practice in the finishing, mixing and release of these albums, for which he has received no royalties. He has urged fans not to buy any of the many issues and frequent reissues. Which is a pity, as these quite listenable re-interpretations of classic 70s cuts. The Journey track, for example, is a fresh reinvention without narration, with all tracks cut with a clean 90s sound. I bought two versions of this album, unaware of Wakeman's opinion. In fairness to him, I am posting two links for user info, one from his own website.
