Slightly odd audio quality on this CD. Some tracks are lifted from vinyl, complete with crackles, some is rather muffled.
The track California Bound sounds like it's fighting a compressor with a lot of changes in volume. Despite that it's all great stuff.
When I met Alex Chilton, many years ago, he told me that Ronny & the Daytonas were his favourite band - so when I saw this CD cheap I picked it up straight away. Harmony surf and rock n roll - what could be finer?
