Being an avid Rachmaninov fan, I bought this German pressing from a Swedish vendor here. I must say it sounds terrific. Yes, the sound is of course not perfect according to today's standards, but surprisingly, it still sounds very good on my installation (Rega P6, Naguoka cartridge, Rega amp and Graham speakers). Very much enjoyable to listen to the master playing his own music. Since Rachmaninov was one of the most outstanding pianists of his time, playing his own music, I haven't heard better versions of the concerto's than these although there are other good ones out there. Recommended. Really.
