The composer's intent for Mark Ryden's "Blood: Miniature Paintings of Sorrow & Fear" was to create music that allows the mind to wander and imagine. Music that enters a space like a scented candle or a faint perfume, an "aroma". Functioning more as a series of shadows or distant echoes. Like dark and blurry reflections in a faraway mirror.
