If you're after the long version of dance to the beat which has been used on loads of youtube clips, it's likely you're after this one: https://www.discogs.com/Charlie-Starflight-Automan-5/release/77926. Pressing is decent. Bit tinny, not much low end. Original doesn't sound much fatter though.

Which record has the 8 min version? I cannot find it. Cheers

This pertains to the A side, which is a not terrible cover of the 1979 Gino Soccio classic, "Dancer". Until discovering this, I was unaware that the Gino Soccio track had ever been covered. I feel the original is significantly better, but, this is a good approximation of what the original might have sounded like had it been produced in 1984 on the latest gear.

i randomly picked this 12" up at a flea market recently.
and while i didn't really care much for the A side it was
the B side that caught my attention. the name of the
track is "Dance To The Beat" and it's quite infectious.
If you like good vocoder laden electro funk jams in a
slightly Italo based style then this is your jam.
