"Mama India" by Stevo was the world´s first orient techno house genre track released as a single, it was a underground club hit. The internationally renowned Austrian Musicproducer and No.1 MTV.com USA Artist Stevo Djuric professionally known as Stevo or Rain Man and Stefan Delani Gbogboade aka DJ Delani were the leading innovators in the birth of the orient techno house genre. The descriptive use of the "trance elements" in "Mama India" is notable in this context, since the trance music genre was at this time unestablished. The "Trance Mix" version is a synthesiser composition based around an acid house bass riff, through the modulation of the main tabla loops, and a recurring high-pitched filter sound. An Ensoniq SQ-80 synthesiser provided the instrumentation. The track was written and produced by Stevo Djuric and Stefan Delani Gbogboade, and co-produced together with Klaus Munzert aka Wildmax. Stevo Djuric also receives credit for playing keyboards on "Mama India", and Ralf Kappmeier for playing Additional Keyboards on the 1991 version.
