Tainted Two - This Is Not A Dream Song Mp3

Wouldn't call this early Trance. It's a melodic House track. Yeah, the arpeggio is trancy, but everything else screams retro house music. Tainted Two's "3 Steps 2 Heaven" sounds more like pre 1993 trance than "This is Not A Dream Song" except that the crap guitar sample ruins the mood on that track.

This is actually one of my favorite early trance records. It's a pitty very few people know about it... It is basically a trance remix of Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams although the feeling is VERY different to the original. Especially the lovely dreamy melody on top of the Sweet Dreams hook, it complements it very nicely and makes you wonder why David Steward never thought of puting it there in the first place lol. Side A and B are almost identical, the only noticeable difference being a vocoder "robot" voice saying "this is not a dream song" from time to time on side A and a purely instrumental side B. A real must-have for early trance fans ;)

This classic song uses plenty of old-school elements. Hardhouse/new beat drums, a Speak & Spell vocoder voice, and deep "LFO" type basslines. The keyboard hook is from The Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This.
