The DSC - Burn Down The System Mp3

I used to play this record out a lot, but now I just find the drums are way too choppy and it bothers me a bit... Still nice to drop once in a while.

Wicked 12" from The Dog Shit Crew AKA Ed Cox & Stivs. Mashup reggae vibes and tearout drums are the order of the day here. The A side makes really good use of the Collie Budz track of the same name, combining it with some amazing choppage to great effect. More of the same on the flip side and, although all three tracks are excellent, my favourite has to be 'Respect'; Seeed's vocals work so well with the rinsing amens and bouncing bassline to make for an anthemic ragga jungle/breakcore tune.
