Anyone else who bought this: What is the quality of the recording like? Mine phases up and down (loud and quiet), ultimately, bad quality pressing so to speak. And it's NOT my tape deck either, have tested it on several different decks... =O(
I've got one and it sounds ok. You may have already tried this, but have you tried fast forwarding it through an entire side, then rewinding it back to the start and playing it? I've had a lot of tapes sound like what you say in the past and this has done the trick. Think it may be something to do with the tape being loose around the spools and the ffwd/rwd ing tightens it up. I may be talking rubbish though, sorry!
